The Teal Pumpkin Project

The Linwood Farms HOA wanted to share some information about FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project™ – a wonderful campaign that we support and we hope you will too! The Teal Pumpkin Project™ raises awareness of food allergies and promotes a safer, happier Halloween by encouraging households to make non-food treats available so that trick-or-treaters who need to avoid candy – due to food allergies or other reasons – can fully participate. Households can show they are participating by placing a teal painted pumpkin in front of their home, or by posting this flyer where it will be visible.

Last year, households from 50 states and 7 countries participated in the Teal Pumpkin Project™. This year, you can be part of an even bigger movement! Visit tealpumpkinproject.org to join 100,000 households pledging to participate in the Teal Pumpkin Project™.

Having both an orange and a teal pumpkin will signify you are providing both candy and non-food treats, or you can post this flyer where it will be visible.

Some examples of non-food treats are:

  • Pencils
  • Plastic Halloween Jewelry
  • Temporary Halloween Tattoos
  • Toys, Erasers, or other small goodies

Many of these items can be found at Hobby Lobby or Michaels, or can be ordered in bulk from Oriental Trading

We thank you all for helping us to support this campaign.
