Pool Rules and Safety


Summertime means no more school – until August – and long days playing outside and having fun in the pool. As Parents it’s important that we make sure our children know the pool rules and proper safety procedures, so that in the event of an emergency things can be handled calmly.

Following the rules and being safe doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, when you play smart and think before you act, everybody can enjoy a day at the pool without problems.

Here is a refresher on our Pool Rules:

General

1. ALL PERSONS USING THE LINWOOD FARMS COMMUNITY POOL DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK. The Association and its agents are not responsible for accidents and/or injuries.
2. Use of the pool is only permitted during operating hours . * NO ONE UNDER 18 ALLOWED AFTER 9 PM.
3. The pool is for the use of Linwood Farms residents in good standing with the HOA. * Unpaid Residents cannot be guests of paid residents.
4. Children 14 and above are permitted to swim unaccompanied. (PARENTAL DECISION).
5 Children 13 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or responsible party16 or older.
6. All persons must shower before entering the pool .
7. Only bathing suits may be worn in the pool. No cut-offs or street clothes shall be worn in the pool. *Clean T-shirts may be worn as cover-ups over bathing suits.
8. Diaper-age children must wear swim diapers at all times, (Violators will be responsible for the cleanup expense).

Guests

9. Each Homeowner in good standing with the HOA is permitted to host four (4) nonresident guests. The Association reserves the right to limit the number of guests at any time.
10. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their children and guests at all times.

Conduct

11. No diving is allowed, no foul language, running, or rough play.
12. No glass containers are permitted in the pool, on the pool deck and in the playground. .
13. No alcoholic beverages permitted in the pool, Pool deck or playground. Except with board approval.
14. Food and drinks are only permitted in areas equipped with tables and chairs and you must clean up immediately after eating.
15. Smoking is only permitted within the DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA
16. The use of skateboards, roller blades, scooters, etc. are never permitted in the pool or on the pool deck area
17. Bicycles are not permitted in the pool area (A bike rack is provided outside the pool gatehouse).

Miscellaneous

18. No one with cuts, infectious diseases, bandages, etc., shall be permitted in the pool.
19. No extension cords of any kind should be used on the pool deck.
20. PERSONAL MUSIC IS PERMITTED WHEN THE AUDIO DOES NOT DISTURB NEIGHBORS & OTHER POOL GUESTS.
21. The telephone is provided for emergency-use only.
22. During peak usage times, please limit the use of personal flotation devices and/or pool toys.
23. Chairs , Tables & chairs are available on a first-come basis. (No RESERVING chairs and tables.) Close umbrellas after use.
24. No pets of any kind.
25 SPECIAL EVENTS NEED TO BE APPROVED BY THE POOL COMMITTEE IN ADVANCE.

Enforcement

26 THE HOA BOARD, POOL COMMITTEE AND MOORESVILLE POLICE ARE AUTHORIZED TO ASK VIOLATORS TO LEAVE THE POOL. AREA RESIDENTS CAN CALL POLICE ON POOL PHONE WHEN APPROPRIATE. (911 IS STRICTLY FOR EMERGENCIES)
27. Anyone violating the pool rules may lose their privilege to utilize the pool up to 60 days per incident.
