News from the Board

As promised, the Board would like to keep everyone updated with any information that was obtained about the potential neighborhood across Linwood Road. As usual, Sean had his feelers out for any info. He learned the following:

1.The land across Linwood Road from Linwood Farms has not been sold.

2.There are environmental agencies that have begun to drill exploratory holes to determine what is buried in that area.

3.Initially they found construction debris that verifies what we told the Town Council.

4.They will now drill more holes to determine what is in the area we were told was used for dumping. That area is roughly 100 feet long by 60 feet deep.

5.If they find more than construction debris, i.e. cars, refrigerators, batteries, etc., all construction may be banned.

From what was learned, it looks like it can be years before anything is built there if at all. Hopefully, this has answered many questions.

As everyone already knows, there will be a solar eclipse on August 21st. If you plan on viewing, please use the proper safety glasses. Serious damage to the eyes can occur if they are not used. Enjoy the once in a lifetime event.
