Social Committee

Social NewsHappy New Year Linwood Farms Residents,

Many of us have set resolutions for 2013; perhaps yours is organization. Here are 5 creative tips we found on pinterest.com help you get control of the clutter.

Social
1. Don't loaf around. Use bread tabs to organize your wires. Simply write with a permanent marker on the tab you get with your loaf of bread and attach to the various wires in your office or behind your entertainment system.

Social
2. Freshen your breath and your junk drawer. Use your old Altoid tins for organization. It's perfect for small items like push pins, paper clips, thumb tacks, and USB drives. Simply label the outside of the tins and toss in your small items.

Social
3. This one's a shoe-in. Use a shoe rack(with pouches) for more than just shoes. This simple shoe rack can be used to store snacks, spices, odd and ends in the pantry, craft supplies, children's toy figurines and more. If it fits in the pocket, it can be organized.

Social

4. Go horizontal then vertical. Turn a wooden magazine holder on its side and go horizontal. You could nest several in a row up in a corner for more storage options.

Social
5. Got tension?. Use a tension curtain rod or shower curtain rod across the area under your sink. Use it to hang spray bottles by the trigger. Hang high enough to free up space under for more storage.

Happy Organizing!

Even though we are in the dead of winter we have been teased by some warm weather. Spring will be here before you know it. Remember this is the time to start with your lawn care for the summer. If you are not the gardening type, please remember there is always help available at garden centers and of course the internet. You can go on "Scott's" web and register for their on line email alerts. This can be helpful since most of us need reminding and insight on timing. Alas the everlasting topic of Doggie Clean Up. I have witnessed firsthand people letting their dogs go up onto people's lawns and shrubs and do both businesses. Please know that this is their private property and regardless if you clean up after yourself this is still private property. Dog's urine (especially females) KILL the grass!!!! Can we start looking out for each other and start taking some pride in our yards. I cannot tell you how much dog poop is right next to the doggie stations. If you know or see someone that lets their dog go and not clean up please contact us. We cannot do anything about it unless we are informed. As Always we are looking for volunteers.
