January 2009 – Budget Ratification

On February 4th the 2009 Budget Ratification Meeting was held at the Charles Mack Center. As the turnout of homeowners was not sufficient to raise a challenge to the proposed budget it was adopted automatically. Those in attendance were provided a breakdown of the budget and questions were taken from the floor regarding it and other general concerns and observations about the community.
This year’s budget includes a modest expenditure line to improve the amenities of the playground and pool areas. Homeowners can look forward to the addition of a swing set, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. In addition we hope to add pet waste receptacles in the common areas to facilitate clean up behind pets when folks are walking the neighborhood.
Our other expenditures remain relatively in-line with the previous budgets. We have achieved some cost reduction as a result of hiring a new landscaping contractor and anticipate some additional savings in costs associated with our management fees.
Just as a reminder, your annual HOA payments will be due on March 1 and May 1. You should receive a reminder in the mail soon.
