The 2009 Linwood Farms HOA Annual Meeting will be held at the Charles Mack Citizens Center on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 7 pm. We will be electing 2 new board members this year, during that meeting. Please try to make it to show your support for our Community and to exercise your right as a member of the HOA to vote! If you can’t be there, you can designate a neighbor to cast a vote for you using this Proxy. The following residents have been nominated as a candidate for the 2009 Board of Directors Election in our Community:

• Jeoff Greenfield

Address: 116 Fontanelle Drive

Professional Background: Almost 30 years of Business experience of which the last 20 years was in mid to upper management in both major corporations and companies in their infancy. Extensive budgeting and organizational experience.

Education: B.S. Biology/Chemistry; Post Graduate work in Physiology; NYS Paramedic

What I would bring to the board:

• Impartiality
• Professional Ethics
• Extensive experience in managing organizations
• Strong organizational skills
• A strong commitment to the community:

» I was a member of the first (ad hoc) pool committee and the formal one formed prior to Ryland turning over the board to the community. We advised the Ryland board even though the advice was ignored.
» Was selected, along with Jay Lewis, to serve on the Transitional Board during the transfer to the homeowners. Advised without voting rights.
» I am currently the Chairperson for the ARC Committee.
» Member of the Community Watch
» Have been extremely vocal over the past 7 years with the Ryland board and the existing board when dealing with community issues.
» Have joined a group of Linwood Residents to help form a “Community Watch Program” which was initially headed by Jay Lewis.
» Met with the chief of the Mooresville Police Department to obtain the documents needed to give them the right to govern our common areas. Ryland signed these documents.
» Petitioned the board to lower our speed limit to 25mph, which is the limit Mooresville has set in other communities. That speed limit is now in effect.

Commitments

• A commitment to represent the homeowners not just show up
• Not bring any hidden agendas of my own or my friends
• Act according to the voting majority of Linwood Farms homeowners
• Form a covenants committee to examine if any changes need to be made to the existing documents. ( Community vote and approval needed for any changes to take place )
• Maintain an open communication policy between the Homeowners and the Board

Summary

From the day we moved in, I believed that homeowners needed to control their own destiny. That is why I joined the first committee that was formed. Even though I unsuccessfully ran for the first board, I maintain a belief in community participation. That is why I remained involved with other committees within our community. I believe people need to get involved with all areas of the community and not just run for the board.
