Gary Rains is a native of central Indiana, where he was a supervisor for Dana Corporation for 22 years.

For the past 21 years, he lived in Orlando, Florida where he worked for FMC Technologies as Manufacturing Business Manager, retiring in February 2007. Gary and his wife, Judy, built their retirement home in Linwood Farms and moved into it in February 2007.

While living in Orlando, Gary served as Vice President of his HOA association which covered over 900 homes. His experience in this position gave him unique insight as to the needs of the community - maintaining property values through enforcement of covenants and restrictions, neighborhood safety, interaction among residents, and community activities for all age groups. He is committed to making Linwood Farms a neighborhood we can all be proud of.

Gary is an avid Notre Dame fan (sorry NC natives), and enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his 10 grandchildren. Gary and Judy enjoy traveling, along with the sights and activities North Carolina has to offer.
